Assassin's Creed 2 is one of the big releases of this fall not pushed back into 2010 and Ubisoft seems to be ready to respect the original release date of November 17. The latest proof is its having released, via the Twitter feed for the game, details related to a Limited Edition version of the videogame, which is set to be offered for the PlayStation 3 from Sony and for the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.

The Limited Edition of Assassin's Creed 2 will be delivered only through GameStop and will include, alongside the game, a statue of Enzie that will look good on any gamer desk, an art book showing how the various elements of the title came alive, a behind the scenes documentary showing how it was created and two in-game areas that will not appear in the normal edition of Assassin's Creed 2.

One is the Palazzo de Medici, the other is the Santa Maria dei Frari in Venice. These two areas do not mean fresh missions for the player or a chance to get any new character-focused items but only two detailed buildings that can be explored at leisure by gamers.

Ubisoft has not said how much the newly announced Limited Edition will cost but the price point for these kinds of packages is usually set to 69.99 dollars. There are some reports that the company, probably banking on the popularity of Assassin's Creed 2, will be setting it higher, to 79.99 dollars. The price will probably be confirmed when the Limited Edition shows up in the pre-order system of GameStop.

Assassin's Creed 2 is set to move the action of the series to Venice and will solve all the issues with the first game in the series. Combat will be more exciting and varied, moving around will be made easier, new tricks will be introduced and the story will be as intricate as ever.
