A video captured with a helmet cam by the fire chief responding to the Asiana Airlines crash at San Francisco International Airport shows that he hadn’t been told about a victim lying on the runway.

As I reported before, 16-year-old student Ye Meng Yuan was run over and killed by an emergency vehicle after falling on the runway.

She was covered in foam by the first firefighters on the scene, in the chaos caused by the failed landing of Flight 214 on July 6.

The footage was obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle, who relayed screenshots and a description by Chief Mark Johnson.

According to Johnson, he had not been alerted about someone being on the runway, covered in fire-retardant foam.

"All of the passengers are off the plane. [...] They just completed a secondary search. There are no passengers on the plane," he was told by fire Capt. Anthony Robinson.
