Two people have been arrested for taking advantage of the havoc caused by the crash of Asiana Airlines Flight 214 at the San Francisco International Airport last month.

United Airlines customer service representative Sean Sharif Crudup stole clothing out of a passenger's bag with the help of his girlfriend, Raychas Elizabeth Thomas.

The Richmond pair were arrested as they were ready to leave San Francisco for Hawaii, ABC News reports.

"The unfortunate coincidence is that Asiana was on July 6, and this crime was on July 8. [...] It was a crime of opportunity. A lot of bags were down there," describes Detective Sgt. Wes Matsuura of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

The crime was discovered because the woman went to the store to return the clothing for money back. She walked away with $6,000 (€4,500). The victim was alerted and she called the police.
