This could be a direct message to Charlie Sheen: you are out of the picture. Though Ashton Kutcher said in a previous interview that he wouldn’t come to “replace” Sheen in the new season for “Two and a Half Men,” it would seem this is precisely the case.

A new promo photo for the season that premieres this fall, and that will bring the demise of Charlie Harper (Sheen) and the introduction of a new character (Kutcher), has been released.

It shows the three members of the cast (Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones) in front of the famous red curtain, standing at the microphone and (as if) getting ready to belt out the “Two and a Half Men” theme song.

Fans must know that, until Sheen’s meltdown and firing from the show, it was he who stood where Kutcher is now standing.

Deadline reports that the shot was not taken from actual footage from the show.

“I understand that this was not a shot taken doing the taping of a new main title for the show but just a promo photo shoot – no main title has been filmed yet,” the movie-oriented publication writes.

“This is the second promotional image for the new Men, following last week’s ‘naked’ poster. Production on the show is slated to begin next week for a Sept. 19 premiere,” Deadline adds.

The poster in question showed the three leads apparently sans clothes, standing behind a billboard they’re holding, on which the air date is written, “09.19.2011.”

“All will be revealed,” the poster also promises, as we informed you at the time of release.

Meanwhile, Sheen is also moving on from “Men.” He’s currently working on a brand new show, based on the hit comedy “Anger Management.”

The controversial actor will play the role of the counselor played by Jack Nicholson in the film. No word yet on who will take up Adam Sandler’s part.
