Michelle Tanner won’t be back on the “Full House” reboot, the upcoming 13-episode Netflix show named “Fuller House.” The Olsen twins, Ashley and Mary-Kate, who collectively played the character on the iconic comedy, have opted to sit it out and focus on their fashion business.

The Olsens are now high-fashion designers thanks to their exclusive label The Row, and they will not be making a return to one of their most famous roles. The news is confirmed by the new series’ executive producer Robert L. Boyett, in a statement for The Wrap.

“Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of ‘Fuller House,’ I know how much ‘Full House’ has meant to them and they are still very much considered family. It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards ‘Fuller House,’” Boyett says.

The Olsens’ involvement in the project has sparked somewhat of a feud between them and leading man John Stamos, after he called them out for saying no one had reached out to them to ask them if they wanted to be a part of the reboot. They singled him out as the one who should have done it, but didn’t.

In the end, Stamos told fans that they had made peace, and even suggested that an Olsen cameo was in the cards.

As it turns out, it isn’t. However, fans can expect to be reunited with other beloved regulars on the original show, like Stamos himself, Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure, Dave Coulier and Andrea Barber.
