Looking better than ever

King's Bounty was one of the most surprising games of 2008. It was witty, full of humor, engaging and very tactical. The game focused on character and army development while offering the sort of battles that were made famous by the Heroes of Might & Magic series. So, when 1C Company and Katauri Interactive talked about new content for the game, in the fall of last year, we were interested in getting more info.

Now, the Russian developer behind the Armored Princess expansion has released a trailer of the game, which you can take a look at if you scroll to the bottom of this piece of news. And there are more details regarding what we can expect from the title, which seems to look even better than the original release.

The main character in Armored Princess will be Amelie, whom you encounter as a toddler in the original game. Time has passed and the heroes of old have disappeared while evil once again threatens the world. The Princess, now grown and skilled in the ways of battle, decides to take it upon herself to find the heroes of old and defeat evil. Of course, this implies recruiting armies, learning spells and controlling a pet dragon that grows as the player continues on their quest.

The Armored Princess expansion is set to add another continent that can be explored, along with the possibility to fast travel between them. There is also a new race, called the Pangolin and players can get a horse that can fly a la Pegasus. The level cap has been increased to allow for more character development and new and unique bosses have been introduced, like the Borer Robot, the Master Gremlin and the Archdemon Baal.

At the moment, the publisher is not saying when the expansion is set to be released but we might see it before fall. Take a look at the trailer below:
