Reports hitting from all corners of the world claim that a person present at The Daily launch event yesterday in New York spotted what appeared to be Apple’s next-generation tablet computer, featuring a front-facing camera.

Reportedly, the discovery was made by a Reuters staffer who not only saw the device in working condition, but also claimed to have spotted a front-facing camera - one of the new rumored additions on Apple’s next-generation tablet computer.

Moreover, the news agency reportedly said that a person with knowledge of the matter confirmed the tablet’s existence, and even added that the finished product would offer more benefits.

You have to stand in awe seeing how history repeats itself for Apple who is at its second major prototype leak.

One would speculate that the Mac maker is orchestrating these leaks, as the alleged Apple employee carrying the presumed iPad 2 could have easily covered the camera(s), or dressed the tablet up in a case or sleeve that wouldn’t attract too much attention.

But no. The Apple staffer instead decided to take it out for a breath of air, choosing not some obscure bar where maybe someone would identify it as the iPad 2, but at a major launch event where tons of people trained to observe just that were present.

All in all, Apple’s iPad 2 will, in fact, integrate dual-cameras, going by the latest rumors, and is believed to boast an enhanced LCD display, although not the hi-res Retina screen die-hard fans were hoping for.

These details come from a source that claimed to have obtained an iPad 2 screen from the OEM in China.

Going by their report, Apple’s iPad 2 will boast a 9.7 inch LCD display with the same in-plane-switching technology that allows the viewer to enjoy a similarly good viewing experience from various angles.

The resolution is reportedly 1024×768.
