Cupertino giant highlights apps for productive people

A new section containing nothing but productivity applications has been launched in the Mac App Store, allowing hard working Mac users to eliminate the unnecessary titles from their view, and focus on what’s most important to them.

It is unclear exactly how many titles the Mac App Store houses at the moment, but it is safe to say there are just enough to immerse yourself in a software shopping experience unlike any other.

No doubt, there are quite a lot of titles too, as Apple keeps adding one new section after another to better categorize the offerings.

The latest one is ‘Get Stuff Done - Apps for Productive People’. We’re not sure whether it was launched today or a tad earlier. What we can tell you is that it’s new.

“There are only so many minutes in a day to get through all your chores, assignments, and engagements,” says Apple. “Thankfully, there’s no shortage of apps to help you organize your finances, manage your home, and get stuff done.”

Per Apple’s wording, the section awaits the hard working fellow / gal who just so happens to have chosen a Mac as a work computer, as opposed to the Windows environment where you sometimes don’t even know what you’re downloading in terms of third party software.

With the Mac App Store, you may not get the diversity, and sometimes the low cost (cough <<piracy>> cough) of Windows solutions, but you can be safe the app is going to work as advertised, and malware free at that.

Some noteworthy titles in the new ‘Get Stuff Done’ section include the recently updated 1Password, Bento (the popular personal database solution), iBank, Things (probably the most intuitive task manager you’ll find), OmniFocus (an advanced to-do app), Soulver (a problem solving calculator that understands both words and figures), and others.
