Harmonix and MTV Games, the two companies in charge of the Rock Band franchise, have announced that bands that Anthrax, The Doobie Brothers, My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, Atreyu and Buckcherry are the bands that are set to add their songs to the Rock Band Music Store, allowing gamers on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii to download and play them on their consoles.

Anthrax is the band that will be supplying most of the tracks for this week, with fans able to get five of their most important hits, ahead of also playing “Caught in a Mosh” in the upcoming Rock Band 3.

The Rock Band Music Store will get “Among the Living” and “Indians”, taken from their debut album in 1987, “Among the Living”, with “I'm the Man” taken from the EP that bears the same name.

Live versions for songs “Madhouse” and “Metal Thrashing Mad” are also included in the Anthrax downloadable content.

The Doobie Brothers are offering “Listen to the Music” from the “Toulouse Street” album and the well known “Long Train Runnin'” from “The Captaion and Me”.

The Doobie Brothers are also making an appearance in Rock Band 3, with “China Grove”.

My Chemical Romance are making their debut in Rock Band with “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” from their second album, called “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge”, and “Welcome to the Black Parade” with the album of the same name.

Other songs added include: Atreyu with “Coffin Nails”, 30 Seconds to Mars playing “Closer to the Edge” and Buckcherry with “Out of Line.”

All the tracks are master recording.

Those who are interested in picking it all the songs can look for the Anthrax Pack 01 for 8.49 dollars and will also be able to get individual tracks for 160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points or 1.99 dollars.
