It appears that Antec has more in store for its customers than 'just' a new collection of power supplies, the company having also released a new speaker system made up of two satellites and an active subwoofer.

While Antec has already let loose the so-called High Current Gamer family of power supplies, the company doesn't seem ready to stop at just that.

What the hardware maker has also prepared is known as the soundscience rockus 2.1 speaker system, its latest audio solution capable of simulating the experience usually delivered only by systems with more than just two satellites.

Essentially, the newcomer is a three-part audio solution, with one subwoofer and two satellites and has, as main asset, support for the 3Dsst technology.

What this technology does is actively analyze stereo audio signals and place them in a 3D sound field, so as to deliver a 3D sound experience even with fewer speakers, hence the aforementioned effect.

Furthermore, the product comes with a remote control pod, for volume adjustment and 3D/music mode selection, while the design is based on aluminum casings and passive cooling.

"Given the increasingly large role that digital media plays in our day-to-day lives, we feel the soundscience rockus 3D | 2.1 offers a sleek, well-balanced compact speaker system solution that's easy to use and delivers a crisp, powerful audio experience to a wide-range of users," says Scott Richards, senior vice president of Antec.

"This speaker system delivers the enveloping audio experience of a conventional home theater system - without any complicated setups or messy difficult cabling,” he added.

“Plus, with analog and optical connectivity, it's easy to get well-produced 3D sound from your computer, tablet, game console, mp3 player or any audio gear," Richards went on to saying.

Users should be able to find the Antec soundscience rockus 2.1 system priced at $250.
