It appears that, though not many companies are supplying the market with new products, Antec is at least updating its existing cases, one of them being the Performance One Series P193.

As consumers have probably realized, the IT market has been fairly quiet recently, as far as new product announcements go at least.

Most of the new releases were done at CES, and the ones that are on the way will probably be showed off at MWC (Mobile World Congress) or CeBIT.

Basically, the rate of launches has slowed to a crawl, but Antec figured it wouldn't do any harm to provide a press release concerning some updates to its existing cases.

One of them bears the name of Performance One Series P193, has been given the V3 suffix and, while it retains most of tis older specs, has a few extra assets over the original.

It measures 514 (H) x 241 (W) x 590 (D) mm, has a three-layer front door (aluminum, plastic, aluminum) that opens at a 270 degree angle and also four fans.

There is one 200mm spinner on the side, a pair of 140mm TriCool models on the top and a 120mm TriCool one at the rear.

The front I/O panel has been fitted with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connectivity, a pair of internal 2.5-inch drive bays (for HDDs or SSDs) and a cut-out on the motherboard tray, for a CPU heatsink.

As far as unchanged specs go, Antec's case has the advantage of a dual-chamber design (isolates heat and noise), four external 5.25-inch bays, an external 3.5-inch one and six internal 3.5-inch bays

Cable organizers behind the motherboard tray, which can handle Mini-ITX, microATX, Standard ATX and Extended ATX platforms, reduce cable clutter and enhance airflow.

All the above lead to a net weight of 43.2 lbs / 19.6 kg and are sold for $209.95.

The Antec Performance One Series P193 V3 can be found described in detail on the official product page, located here.
