It's another weekly videogames sales chart for the United Kingdom market and another first place for the EA Sports made football simulation 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, the game which allows any player to take his favorite nation and lead it to the ultimate national glory available in the world of football. The game comes with better simulation of pacing, better penalty taking and a new mode that allows more casual players to control their team with just two buttons on the controller, all features that will likely see the game stay at the top until the kick off for the real life World Cup.

Second place in the chart went to Alan Wake, the Microsoft published and Remedy developed action adventure which aims to put the player in the woods ready shoes of a writer who is looking for inspiration and instead finds a town with a mystery. Another new entry, the cooperative play focused shooter Lost Planet 2 from Capcom, came in and took over the third position of the podium.

These two new launches managed to push Just Dance, the casual music based title from Ubisoft, to fourth place down from two, while yet another new entry, Skate 3 from EA Sports, managing to trick its way to fifth place. Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the first person shooter from DICE and Electronic Arts, sits in sixth place as it gets ready to receive the Onslaught mode, which enables fourth person coop play.

Rival shooter franchise Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one place down, also set to get a new map pack called Resurgence, while eight place is occupied by Japanese role playing game Final Fantasy XIII from Square Enix. Ninth place went to Nintendo with Wii Fit Plus, the game which saw the biggest drop within the top ten, while Wii Sports Resort closes down the top ten. Super Street Fighter IV, Just Cause 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction and Episodes from Liberty City all exited the United Kingdom top ten.
