No, we're not talking about the recently announced Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, we're talking about what others (including us) have called Guitar Hero IV, following some rumors from rock band The Answer. Unlike most of the rumors, these guys were 100% right - we have Activision's official press release as a proof.

You probably know the story regarding The Answers already, so we'll be brief: the band's song "Never Too Late" was selected from over 200 songs during an event that took place in France, and they were going to be featured in Guitar Hero. The band was the one that said for the first time something like "We're going to be in Guitar Hero IV" and people didn't know what to believe. Well... even though nothing has been said about the fourth number, Activision confirmed that The Answer will be featured in "a forthcoming edition of Guitar Hero, details of which will be announced soon."

"Guitar Hero is all about the music," says Tim Riley, worldwide head of Music, Activision. "Which is why events like the Listening Session at MIDEM are so important to us. We were very impressed by the quality of the entries, but 'The Answer' stood out, and was a clear favourite of our panel. We're committed to searching for and partnering with great emerging bands like 'The Answer'. They are a great addition to the Guitar Hero family, and we look forward to working with them through what should be their breakthrough year."

If you know nothing about this band, here are some facts: they are signed by the publishers of AC/DC, Albert Productions, and they are still "youngsters", having in mind that the four band members began their career 3 years ago. But this doesn't mean that these guys are newbies - they have already opened gigs for The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, The Who and Deep Purple and their fans consider them to be the future of rock.

Now we agree that these guys are great, that Guitar Hero is a super game and people will spend their money on it, but having in mind that GH: Aerosmith is coming wouldn't that be... too early, even though The Answer says "Never too Late"?
