With Christmas almost here, Rovio has prepared a special offer for its Android fans, through the release of a special edition of Angry Birds for the mobile operating system, called Angry Birds Seasons.

The new solution comes with a nice range of enhancements for all Angry Birds fans out there owning devices powered by Google's Android operating system, the company announced officially

“Today, we bring you Angry Birds Seasons, a special edition spin-off of Angry Birds,” Rovio announced officially.

“Season’s Greedings consists of 25 daily surprises for fans of Angry Birds to enjoy while counting down the days until Christmas,” the company unveiled.

However, these are not the only enhancements the new version of Angry Birds comes to Andorid devices with, as more levels have been included into the mix as well.

“Included in the game is also the 45-level Halloween special edition, now packaged as a separate episode called Trick Or Treat,” the mobile game publisher announced.

Those users who are intersted in trying out the new flavor of the application will find it put on download on Softpedia too, via this link.

Angry Birds Seasons was also made available for download for Android devices out there through GetJar and via the Android Market.

According to Rovio, owners of an Android-based device should expect for more features to be added to the solution in the near future, including a series of performance upgrades.

Here's what the company notes:

We are still working on two things for the Angry Birds games on Android:

First, we are bringing a graphically lighter option in the game, to enable better performance on older phones.

Second, we will introduce a payment system to opt-out of advertising.

At the moment, Rovio did not offer a specific date for when the new enhancements would be included into the mix, but later updates should bring them to Android handsets out there.

Undoubtedly, the release of the new Angry Birds Seasons for Android would make the game even more popular on Google's mobile operating system.

The mobile title has already registered a number of no less than 8 million downloads on the Android OS since its release about two months ago.
