One of the most popular mobile games available for download in the Android Market today is, undoubtedly, Angry Birds for Android, the title released by Rovio in October.

The mobile game proved popular even before it was released in full flavor in the application portal, and became increasingly popular since the gold flavor was pushed out to Andorid users out there.

Since its official release in October, Angry Birds for Android was downloaded over 7 million times, the game publisher announced (it reached the first million downloads during the first day).

To celebrate this success, the company announced not too long ago that it would launch a special, light flavor of the game, so as to make it available on more Android phones, including those with lower performance capabilities.

However, it appears that this won't be the only special flavor of Angry Birds that Android users will receive soon.

Rovio is also getting ready to launch a Christmas edition of the title in the coming few weeks, some of the latest reports around the Internet suggest.

There are not too many details available on what the solution would include, but some suggest that it would taste many additional levels, in line with what Rovio is offering to iOS users too.

At the same time, we should note that there are not details available on when the new version of the game would be released, but, since December 11th was announced not too long ago as the first official Angry Birds Day, we should expect for a formal announcement to be made on that day.

For those who might not be familiar with the game, we should note that it is an ad-supported title, and that Rovio promised that users would receive the possibility to pay for it and enjoy it without ads. No details on when this option would be put in place emerged for the time being.

In the meantime, we should wait for the mobile game publisher to make an official announcement on that Angry Birds Christmas edition, both on Android and other mobile operating systems.
