The movie industry continues to remain boys’ playground, Forbes magazine writes in its latest issue, which also offers the annual list of the industry’s highest paid actress. At number one, we have a tie between Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker.

The chart is comprised after Forbes looked at contracts and deals for the May 2010 – May 2011 period, before tax and industry-related fees (attorneys, managers, etc.).

It shows that, regardless what critics said about her most recent releases, Angelina Jolie remains the queen of the box office, still making bank whenever she takes the time away from her large brood to work.

In just one year, Jolie made $30 million, mostly off “The Tourist” and “Salt,” both of which have been panned by critics and audiences alike, but still managed to perform very well at the international box office.

This figure proves that Jolie remains a bankable action star – perhaps the only female action star we have right now, while also being perfectly capable of doing drama, comedy and even romantic comedy.

Also at number one, we find Sarah Jessica Parker, whose roles outside the “SATC” universe may have gotten people laughing at her, but who continues to make bank on the original series and her fashion endeavors.

“True to the values of Carrie Bradshaw, Parker has become a beauty icon. She makes money from her successful line of perfumes including Lovely, Covet and NYC, which brought in $18 million in 2010, and she recently started helping design clothes for the fashion line Halston,” Forbes writes.

Jennifer Aniston comes in at number 3, with hopes to boost her income soon, once “Horrible Bosses” is out in theaters. She made $28 million last year.

Reese Witherspoon also cashed in a $28 million check last year, even if her films “How Do You Know” and “Water for Elephants” were deemed flops by the industry, given pre-release high expectations.

Julia Roberts and Kristen Stewart are also at a tie, making $20 million in movies and endorsements this past year.
