Last week, Google announced the roll-out of an upgrade to its Android Market client, and now the company confirmed some more details on the matter, including the fact that the new solution would be delivered to all of its users within the next two weeks.

The update was meant for all mobile phones running under the Android 1.6 or newer operating system flavors, and comes with a wide range of enhancements.

“Hey Market fans! If your phone is running Android 1.6 or higher, you can expect an update for the Android Market over the next 2 weeks,” Google announced via a recent post on Facebook.

“The update brings some much needed improvements like better UI, faster searches, more information of apps alike, improved ratings and much more,” the company continues.

We already had the chance to take a look at some of the changes that the new version of the Android Market client would bring along but, in case there are some who might have missed our previous report on this, they would find some details on the update below.

“This new Market client introduces important features that improve merchandising of applications, streamline the browse-to-purchase experience, and make it easier for developers to distribute their applications,” Google announced via a post on Android Developers.

One of the improvements included a new carousel available in the home and category screens, which offers users the possibility to view and access promoted applications pretty easily.

The Android Market sports a new, better user interface, along with faster search capabilities, while being designed to offer more info on the applications available for download there (such as Related content on the app info page).

Another change affected the refund window for any application bought via the Market, now set at only 15 minutes. Other enhancements are also there, with more of them set to arrive in the near future, Google announced.
