It didn’t take long for Amber Riley of “Glee” to wow judges and viewers on her Dancing With the Stars debut. On the season 17 premiere, she and partner Derek Hough delivered the night’s highest scored dance with the Cha Cha Cha.

You can see it in full above, including the pre-recorded rehearsal footage showing Amber expressing her doubts about whether she’ll be able to deliver as a ballroom dancer.

She delivered all right.

Amber and Derek got a standing ovation, raving praises from the three judges, and a score of 27 out of a possible 30, the night’s highest.

However, Amber told the press after the show, doing “Glee” is much more challenging.

“Glee is more grueling [than] DWTS. Trust me,” she said, as cited by Us Weekly.

We can’t know if she’s joking or not, but she certainly did make that routine look absolutely effortless.
