Blackberry users on the US market have now a new application available for them in an open beta flavor, namely Amazon MP3 for BlackBerry, which offer access to Amazon’s entire catalog of music, and which packs a wide range of other features as well.

Through the new Amazon MP3 for BlackBerry application, users are offered the possibility to easily find the music they like via the said store.

One can browse music by New Songs, New Albums, Top Songs, Top Albums, and Genres. Moreover, there are also Sub Genres that would offer the possibility to find the wanted music faster than before.

The new mobile application would also provide users with the free song of the day feature, which is complemented by a new album deal of the day option, a recent article on the BlackBerry Blog reads.

But this is not all, it seems, as the application also comes with social networking functionality built-in, including support for BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), email, SMS, Social Feeds, Facebook, Twitter, and more.

The application would offer users the possibility to download music in accordance with their data plan. Thus, one can opt to download songs over Wi-Fi, or to chose to perform the downloads via Wi-Fi or OTA (over-the-air).

Moreover, Amazon MP3 for BlackBerry enables users to set for downloads to take place only at times when the user is not roaming.

The application would also come with bookmarks, so that one can be able to preview or download songs “at a more convenient time.”

Some other features of the software solution include:

- Enter promotional or Amazon.com gift card codes directly from the Amazon MP3 application. - Access a 30-second preview, so that users can be sure that it’s the song or version they intend to buy. - All songs downloaded are integrated into the ‘on device’ media library for easy integration into playlists. - This app is integrated with Universal Search, so that users are presented with Amazon findings the next time they perform a search on your favorite artist. Users interested in downloading and installing the Amazon MP3 for BlackBerry Smartphones application would need to have a data plan and to own a device running under BlackBerry OS version 5.0 or higher. Starting today, the application is available for download via the BlackBerry App World.
