The truth will be revealed next week in Barcelona at MWC 2014

Last week I brought you news that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 tablet was spotted on the GFXBench website, revealing that it would come bundling a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC.

Before the information surfaced, it was hypothesized the new Galaxy Tab 4 line would come bundling Exynos processors, since Sammy was looking to increase its AP market share. Therefore, I was expecting at least some of the models to be equipped with Samsung’s own processors.

It appears this is wrong, since the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 3G model has surfaced on the same website (via TableGuide) boasting an MSM8226 Qualcomm CPU (basically, a quad-core unit clocked at 1.2GHz of the Snapdragon 400).

That’s exactly the same processor we saw with the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 (with 4G). Seemingly, there's going to be no difference between 3G/4G models, processor-wise. Nevertheless, we'll have to see what the Wi-Fi version brings to the table.

Apart from that, the benchmarks show an average performance, pretty much as expected. The tablet trio will see the light of day in Barcelona at MWC 2014.
