Digital photo frames have become pretty mainstream devices nowadays, and for this reason, they've lost some of their hype and cool factor, announcements such as the one coming from AgfaPhoto not really raising the same level of interest they used to a couple of years ago.

However, we'll have to admit that AgfaPhoto made quite a serious effort here, rolling out no less than six new digital photo frame models, with diagonal sizes ranging from 7 to 10 inches.

As PhotographyBlog informs us, the new lineup from AgfaPhoto includes the AF5108PS, AF5088PS and AF5078PS models that are designed solely for viewing photos, whereas the AgfaPhoto AF5108MS, AF5088MS and AF5078MS are multimedia frames that can also play back videos and music.

AgfaPhoto's new digital photo frames provide a 4/3 image aspect ratio and a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, delivering a very good image quality (a feature that, after all, represents the main selling point of any device in this category).

Moreover, all the new photo frames also have LED backlight LCD screens and use Crystal Image HD technology which corrects automatically defects in the photos (brightness/contrast, hue, colour balance, etc.).

The navigation interface is truly intuitive and has simplified 3D effect menus, while AgfaPhoto also adds a whole new dimension to digital photo frames with its senSee Touch models (AF5088MSHR and AF5018MS) using touch keys on the front to give an enhanced interactive experience.

Plus, to make the range as environmentally friendly as possible, AgfaPhoto has included ECO functions in these digital photo frames to guarantee low energy use: automatic on-off function, low power consumption, together with recyclable packaging.

Naturally, pricing for these things will also depend directly on their size and features, but we'll have to say that, overall, the new AgfaPhoto digital frames are pretty affordable, selling for anywhere between 50 and 140 Euro.
