Planet Moon Studios decided to sign an exclusive contract with Sony for developing After Burner: Black Falcon exclusively for PSP. The flight simulator will not be released on the upcoming PS3 games console.

After Burner: Black Falcon will have licensed military fighter planes like the awesome F-22 Raptorm F-15 Strike Eagle and F-14D Tomcat. Multiplayer and cooperative modes will be included. In cooperative mode, pilots can choose a wingman to guide them in battle. Of course, in the multiplayer, players will be able to fight each other. As a single player, you are required to retrieve stolen military fighters from the hands of terrorists. All the planes featured in the game will be customizable.

According to SEGA creative director Matt Woodley, the new After Burner will be a good example of updating one of all time SEGA classics for the current generation of gamers but still maintaining the original fast pace and challenge of the game.

PSP gamers will be able to relive the experience of SEGA's classic arcade After Burner in spring 2007.
