Motorola already introduced the MOTOLUXE Android-based phone in the UK and promised that the handset will be available in Germany from March.

Today, Motorola Italy confirmed the company will release the smartphone in the country as well. According to the handset maker, Motorola MOTOLUXE will be available in Italy starting the end of March at a price that will be disclosed closer to the launch.

Although the price tag of the handset has yet to be unveiled, it appears that the MOTOLUXE will cost 280 EUR (370 USD) in Germany, so we can safely assume that Italian customers will be able to purchase it for around the same amount.

Motorola MOTOLUXE is not a usual affordable Android phone. The phone stands out thanks to its stylish look and solid features.

The smartphone comes with a hyper-vibrant 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display (480 x 854 pixel resolution), which was not to be expected from a budget-friendly device.

Another strong point of the phone is the 8-megapixel rear camera, which features autofocus and LED flash, as well as video recording. There's also a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

On the inside, the MOTOLUXE is equipped with an 800 MHz single core processor, 1GB of ROM, 5121 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Software-wise, the bar phone is powered by Google's Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread operating system with Moto Switch user interface on top. The latter allows users to switch between work and home modes.

It is also worth mentioning that Motorola MOTOLUXE comes with a lanyard slot that lights up, so users can see when they’ve missed a call, received a text or have an email waiting for them.

By combining sleek style with Android brains, MOTOLUXE is ideal for people who want the latest technology in a sophisticated package. Not only does this smartphone have a big screen and the latest, greatest entertainment tools, it’s affordable and won’t take a bite out of your budget,” said Paolo Prearo, general manager in Motorola Mobility Italy.
