The past week has seen the appearance of quite a few gaming-oriented products, and Aerocool has now decided to join this movement by showing off the Strike-X, a new, steel chassis with an all/black or black/red color scheme.

Gaming peripherals have already made their appearance, courtesy of Mad Catz, Razer and Logitech, among others.

Now that this segment is, more or less, covered, Aerocool decided it would supply hard-core gamers with an enclosure both massive and intricate enough to do the configuration inside of it justice.

The product is, as already mentioned, dubbed Strike-X and is a tower case constructed out of steel, with a mesh design on the front, the top and the sides.

One thing that will immediately jump into view is the presence of no less than nine exposed 5.25-inch optical drive bays.

Also, on the inside, there are detachable 3.5-inch cages, so that hard drives or solid state drives may be added without any trouble.

The casing also boasts a tool-less installation for said storage solutions, as well as for PCI cards, in addition to a fairly strong internal cooling system.

To be more specific, the Strike-X benefits from the power of three fans, a 140mm model at the top, as well as two 120mm fans, one on the side and one at the rear.

Finally, for those that need more than just air cooling, Aerocool was careful to pre-drill watercooling holes at the back.

As for I/O, the top panel includes a pair of USB ports, as well as the obligatory audio/microphone jacks.

All in all, this newcomer should be able to meet all the needs and desires of gamers that like the look and feel of steel.

According to reports, the all-black and red/black Aerocool Strike-X towers should already be shipping, priced at 59.90 Euro.
