Seeing that its rivals are taking turns unleashing new gaming-oriented hardware, Mad Catz decided it would also cause a few waves, so it brought out the newest Cyborg, a special keyboard that comes with a built-in (RGB) lighting system which, by means of the amBX technology, produces lighting effects that correlate with what the monitor has on display.

All consumers are well aware that the worldwide market is swarming with a multitude of keyboards, but only a small percentage of them can truly be considered gaming gear.

Mostly, gamers seek not only a high level of functionality, but also comfort while typing and, if possible, a matching level of aesthetic value.

Mad Catz' Cyborg tries to meet all of these requirements and the amBX technology is the main asset of the new product.

Mostly, the feature directly controls the built-in lighting system in order to produce real-time lighting effects, whether during games or other activities, adding to the overall enjoyment.

Also, to make sure that the light show is not distracting, the technology matches the colors to those being displayed on the monitor.

This does not mean that the new invention has no other qualities. In fact, the keyboard boasts laser-etched keys, Anti-Ghosting for the WASD keys, a Window Key lock button and volume controls.

"We continue to evolve our range of Cyborg branded products by incorporating new technologies that enhance the gaming experience," said Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz.

"We are excited to be working closely with amBX and publishers to bring our new range of Cyborg amBX-compatible products to the PC gaming community. We believe the new range is well positioned to demonstrate the benefits that this emerging technology has to offer."

Unfortunately, the product has not yet become available, being slated to enter stores sometime during early 2011. Pricing details are also unavailable.
