Adobe removed last month its Photoshop Touch Android application from Google Play Store and promised it would bring new apps and services for those who want professional tools that enable them to edit photos directly on their smartphones/tablets.

This week, the company announced it released not one, but four Android applications focused on graphics design and photo editing.

All four are now available for download via Google Play Store for free, but only if you are an Adobe CC subscriber. This was probably Adobe's plan all along, so feel free to get these apps or not.

Adobe Photoshop Mix allows users to cut and combine images they take with their phones, as well as change colors and enhance their photos while on the move.

The application also allows you to cut out and remove parts of your images or merge multiple photos. Adjusting colors is possible as well.

They are free but require Adobe CC subscription

Adobe Shape CC is another new Android application that provides users with the option to quickly capture and convert images into vector graphics that can be used in Adobe Illustrator CC or Adobe Photoshop CC.

Next in line, Adobe Brush CC is supposed to turn photos or graphics into high-quality brushes that can be used in Adobe Photoshop CC or Illustrator CC.

Last but not least, Adobe Color CC allows users to sample colors around them to create themes they can use in Adobe desktop apps like Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.

“Our new mobile apps use the same technology as our desktop apps so you can create production quality assets on the go. We released Android versions of Brush CC, Shape CC, Color CC and Photoshop Mix – to bring connected mobile workflows to millions of creatives worldwide,” said David Wadhwani, senior VP and general manager, Digital Media Business unit.
