14 DAY TRIAL // A little over two months ago, Adele went under the knife for micro-surgery on her vocal chords, after a year of vocal issues and canceled appearances. Now, she's looking at real estate outside London after being told pollution could damage her voice, it has emerged.
As we also noted on various previous occasions, Adele has been having severe vocal issues for an untreated recurrent vocal cord hemorrhage, which eventually forced her to cancel her tour dates and get surgery.
She's now at her London home on vocal rest, waiting for doctors to tell her she's ok to resume her activities.
In the meantime, the Daily Mail writes, she's also been looking at houses in the countryside, having been told the air in the British capital might actually damage her voice.
“The operation went well but she still needs to take good care of herself,” an unnamed source is quoted as saying.
Admittedly, this would also include relocating to another area, where the air was cleaner.
“Adele is a London girl through and through, but she’s never been particularly into the showbiz circuit so when it was suggested she move out of the city, she agreed immediately,” the spy adds.
She's now looking at houses outside London in the £2-£3 million ($3.09 million / €2.37 million - $4.64 million / €3.56 million) price range. The spy doesn't say whether the move would be permanent or only temporary, until her recovery is complete.
“The idea is for her to live in the countryside, away from the capital’s smog and pollution. She’s desperate to be fit for the Grammys and be back singing as soon as possible,” the insider explains.
Adele is nominated for 6 Grammys at the upcoming ceremony, which will take place on February 12, 2012.
No official announcement has been made about it, but word online has it that Adele will be on hand for the awards show – and hopefully also perform or at least present an award.
