British songstress Adele is again forced to cancel tour dates because her old voice issues have returned. Fans from the US are again prevented from seeing (and hearing) her live, she says in a statement on her official blog.

Earlier this year, Adele was diagnosed with laryngitis and was put on vocal rest. She canceled her US tour dates and promised fans she would make it up to them as soon as possible, which is exactly what she aimed to do now.

However, after completing the British leg the tour, the singer started having problems with her voice once more and was told she couldn’t perform.

“singing is literally my life, its my hobbie, my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or i risk damaging my voice forever,” Adele writes on her blog.

She hopes fans will understand, even though it’s the second time this year she has to disappoint them, as she puts it.

“i have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously i take it and how truly devastated and annoyed i am by this. wanting to do something so bad and not being able to is the most frustrating thing as im sure you know!” the singer writes.

However, once she’s back to her best, Adele promises to “smash the ball out of the park” and, hopefully, make fans forget that her US tour came across so many obstacles before taking place.

“i apologise from the bottom of my heart, sincerely i do. i know its not only disappointing because of the show, but its plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted,” Adele says.

“but please have faith in me that this is the only thing i can do to make sure i can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability. truly yours and yours only forever, adele xx,” she adds.
