Adam Lambert fans have plenty of reasons to rejoice: not only is the release date for his debut album drawing near, but they also get to hear the first song outside the American Idol competition. “Time for Miracles” is included on the music score for the doomsday film “2012” and, just like Adam promised not long ago, it doesn’t disappoint. Far from it, as Rolling Stone can confirm.

“Lambertitis” is taking over the world and “Time for Miracles” is the first step in the right direction, music critics say. After what Adam himself said in past interviews about the track and after hearing what Queen guitarist Brian May had to say about it even before it was known Lambert would be included on the score, fans were led to believe this would be the most awesome track ever recorded in the history of music, as MTV also puts it. Those who did think that were not that far off, it is further said.

“Fan theories that the song would be epic were proven correct. Like any blockbuster closing credits ballad worth its weight in pomposity, ‘Time for Miracles’ has key changes, ‘Kashmir’-like breakdowns and over-the-top vocal acrobatics. Score!” MTV writes in a hasty review of the song. What’s even better, “Time for Miracles” has Lambert’s powerful voice, which rises and falls to the tune, truly taking the listener by the heart like he meant to.

“The Internet exploded not only with overwhelming fan reaction but also quick, informal reviews of the song. Richard Rushfield (former Los Angeles Times ‘Idol’ guru) proclaimed on Twitter, ‘Yet did I never breathe its pure serene Till I heard [Lambert] speak out loud and bold.’ EW’s Michael Slezak said it puts the ‘edible in incredible,’ while Yahoo Music’s Lyndsey Parker warned fans, ‘Prepare to have your face blown off, “2012”-style.” the same music-oriented publication says.

The piece ends with a promise: even those who can’t stand Lambert as an artist will have to give credit where credit is due: Adam Lambert has come out with a masterpiece, a hit the kind of which they don’t make anymore. Below is the entire “Time for Miracles” song. Listen and see for yourselves whether critics are right or not.
