Adam Lambert is glam in both music and style. Everything that he does is glam, whether it’s kissing a male backup singer or wearing KISS-style platform boots. As fans know, he even has a tour going on, called the Glam Nation Tour, which will hopefully push the envelope of glam rock to limits never before attained. Part of this endeavor is Adam rocking a new hairstyle, as E! Online can confirm.

The singer himself tweeted the picture attached to the article, telling his almost half a million followers not to fret over it or get the wrong idea, for only half his head was shaved. Of the change, E! says it shows just how much of a daredevil Adam is, even if he’s sending very strong Boy George vibes in this particular picture. He is officially the only male artist to play with his image like that and still be mainstream, which speaks volumes for his influence as an artist.

“Is Christina Aguilera copying Lady Gaga? Is Gaga copying Xtina? Or are they all just copying Madonna? Who knows anymore, but here’s a better question: Why is it always the gals who get called out for mimicking each other’s signature styles? Is it just us, or is Adam Lambert looking more and more like a certain other glam rock star? The flashy and often outlandish Brit star Boy George, of course. Adam’s most recent TwitPic shows the dude with his head partially shaved, heavy glitter makeup and, most strikingly, a stylish top hat – all straight from the Boy George Book of Glam,” E! writes.

This is far from being a bad thing, the report further says, quite on the contrary actually. “Though his style may scream Boy George, we still have to give Adam props for going against the flow today. Sure, Lady G has a similar electro-glam fashion sense, but she’s a chick. Adam is the only fellow, really, who’s willing to be bold in such a Boy-like manner these days. We love seeing people mix the pot and, breaking out of American Idol, Adam has made it crystal clear that he intends to do just that. Kind of fabulous, right?” E! further writes.

In other Adam-related news, his latest video, for the single “If I Had You” off the best-selling debut album “For Your Entertainment,” was released a few days ago. It too was very bold and boundary-breaking, sending the clear message that love conquered all differences, from race to orientation.
