Adam Lambert fans (“Glamberts”) waiting patiently to listen to his first single off the yet to be released second album this month, will have to wait some more. The singer broke the news on Twitter and has already apologized for it.

The former American Idol star has been working hard on his second album, of which he's already said it will surprise fans by being completely different from his debut “For Your Entertainment.”

A first single was expected to drop this month, but Adam is now saying on his official Twitter page that he rushed things by announcing November as an estimative release date.

“Dear amazing fans; I [expletive]-ing love you!!! ;)” Adam began by saying on Twitter, in what is certainly a wonderful way of breaking a sad news to his supporters,

“Update on first single: due to some unforeseen logistics, legal annoyances and creative details, the first single is delayed again,” Adam further says.

He then proceeds to apologizing for saying it would be out in November, even though fans would have probably forgiven him either way.

“I want to apologize for claiming November as the release month. I spoke too soon. I had a great meeting in London yesterday and continue to take the time to ensure the song is its BEST and that the whole album and campaign is a unified artistic extension of my spirit,” the singer adds.

However, once these setbacks are overcome, Adam is certain fans will love his second studio album. In fact, he can promise them they will.

“Thank you so much for your patience. I PROMISE I won't let you down & that this upcoming project will take you on a wild ride! I love u all,” he writes on the same social networking website.

“For Your Entertainment,” Adam's debut album after a very successful run on American Idol, was one of the best selling albums of last year, which explains the hype around the follow-up.

Fans feeling down about the announcement should know that Adam is also featured in the latest issue of Out magazine, where he talks a bit more about the album – see here for the interview.
