Another day, another statement from Activision about its Call of Duty Elite service, with the large games publisher now stating that it's made good progress on stabilizing the online experience, but admits that there's still plenty of work that needs to be done before all Modern Warfare 3 players can access it.

Activision broke world sales records with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 last week but the Elite online service, which was supposed to complement the online mode in the actual shooter with things like stat tracking, social networking or clan support, was taken by surprise by the massive influx of players, which resulted in a huge amount of problems and issues.

The company, together with Elite developer Beachhead, posted quite a lot of statements about the online service since then, promising that they're doing everything they can to eliminate problems and provide a great experience to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 3 players that want to access Elite.

Now, Activision has posted a new statement, in which it highlights just what features are now functional, while promising that it will continue to make Elite a proper experience.

"Over the past few days, we've been able to make several key improvements to Call of Duty Elite," the company said. "The title, emblem and weapon camo for Founders are all available now. And, the title, emblem and Double XP for all members are available as well. For those of you who have logged into Elite, we've improved the stability for both the console app and website and while neither is yet working at 100%, you should be seeing the results of that work."

"We are also still working very hard to increase the number of users who can access the service simultaneously, and over the next few days, we will be working to increase the functionality of groups and clans in the Connect section. We've made good progress, but we realize there's still hard work to be done so that every player can access Call of Duty Elite whenever they want."

While this work continues, Activision and Beachhead once again highlight that the PC version of Elite, as well as the iOS and Android applications that were announced earlier, might not appear as soon as some players might want.

Is Elite still causing problems for you or have you finally managed to access the online service?
