Not too long ago, wireless carrier AT&T has announced the release of a new Windows Phone-based device on its airwaves, the HTC HD7S, and the handset is already available for purchase at the operator.

The new mobile phone was added to AT&T's offering with a price tag of $199.99 attached to it with the signing of a two-year contract agreement.

However, those who would like to purchase the device are able to find it at half the price, if they make the acquisition from Amazon.

Those who would like to get the new mobile phone would have to commit to a minimum data service starting at $15/month, the wireless carrier explains.

The new HTC HD7S sports similar features and specifications as the HTC HD7, the smartphone that brought Windows Phone 7 to T-Mobile's customers back in November.

The mobile phone packs one of the largest touchscreen displays available on smartphones today, along with a fast application processor, and support for the wide range of services Microsoft put in place for the Windows Phone platform.

“Sporting a big, brilliant 4.3-inch Super LCD touchscreen display, the HTC HD7S for AT&T brings to life every aspect of using your phone,” Amazon notes on their website.

“The largest screen available on a Windows Phone in the U.S., its size not only gives you an extra-large virtual keyboard, but also room to enjoy your favorite videos and movies in cinematic style.

“And you'll be able to keep yourself entertained with Xbox LIVE gaming and Zune-powered music and videos, yet stay productive on the go thanks to AT&T's 3G network.”

The HTC HD7S also comes with 16 GB of internal memory, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors. On the back, the mobile phone sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper, with HD 720p video capture capabilities.

You can see the smartphone available for purchase via AT&T's online store here, or at Amazon here.
