Mobile phone users in the United States should soon have at their disposal yet another mobile phone running under Microsoft's Windows Phone platform, namely the HTC HD7S.

The new handset was already unveiled to the world a few months ago, and should be released on the airwaves of AT&T, which has just confirmed that June 5th would be lucky day for enthusiasts.

The carrier confirmed this via its Facebook page, HTC announced it on Twitter, and Microsoft's themselves picked it up and posted it on their blog.

“And the hits just keep on coming. Moments ago HTC said via Twitter that the HTC HD7S is expected to hit AT&T stores on June 5,” Michael Stroh notes in a post on the Windows Phone blog.

AT&T also confirmed that it would be selling the mobile phone for $199.99 upon the signing of a new contract agreement.

“The HTC HD7S, a 4.3-inch screen Windows Phone experience, is coming soon! […] It will sell for $199.99 with a two-year contract starting June 5th,” the wireless carrier announced on Facebook.

Those of you who would like to learn more info on this mobile phone or to register for receiving info on special offers on it should head to the carrier's website here.

The smartphone was launched in October last year as HTC HD7, and already made it to the US market on the airwaves of T-Mobile.

The HTC HD7S comes with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display, complemented by a fast 1GHz application processor, and 16GB of internal memory.

The handset also comes with a high-quality camera on the back, with video recording capabilities, as well as with enhanced connectivity options.

Moreover, it offers access to a wide range of applications available for download via the Windows Phone Marketplace, as well as to various services that Microsoft put in place for the platform.

The HTC HD7S is the last device to arrive on shelves with the current version of Windows Phone. The next such handsets would be running Mango, the next flavor of the operating system.
