The device comes with music-oriented features

Some of you might remember the Motorola Ischia, a music-oriented mobile phone that was unveiled quite a while ago; it was even reported to have passed through FCC, and it is now officially announced to be heading towards AT&T's lineup in the near future. The device, dubbed Motorola EM330, comes with a rather interesting exterior design, which could attract users on its side.

The specifications of the new device are a little different from what we were initially expecting to see, yet the music focus is still there. One thing that seems to have changed since the device was last seen, which would be around July 2008, is the interior, which at that time was blue and is now white.

The external display of the Motorola EM330 (Ischia) is a touch-sensitive one, and might be just the same as the screen featured by the V9. The handset should come to users with a 1.3-megapixel photo snapper, which also sports video recording capabilities, as well as with 20 MB of internal memory and a MicroSD memory card slot that would offer support for 2GB of additional storage space.

The Motorola EM330 should come to AT&T's lineup with a music player, FM Radio with RDS, “3D Sound” Surround-sound quality, EQ with 11 pre-set genres included, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Stereo Bluetooth capabilities, Crystal-Talk Technology, and dedicated music key. At the same time, the handset also includes tri-band EDGE connectivity, but it is rather unlikely that 3G will also be present.

The mobile phone is expected to be added to AT&T;s offering starting with the second quarter of the ongoing year, although the exact launch date hasn't been unveiled. At the same time, there are no details on the price tag the Motorola EM330 will feature, but don't expect it to be a high one.
