BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is from now on available via AT&T, through the carrier's Business Center, and comes at 199 USD for users who also want a two year contract agreement.

The smartphone was first announced in October 2007 and it now finally got to be launched via AT&T. 8120 is created for business users and it's the successor of Pearl 8100, currently offered by AT&T only in the refurbished version. The new Pearl brings the same sleek design and the same form factor as its predecessor, but it's packed with more evolved features. Not too evolved though.

Measuring 107 x 50 x 14 millimeters and weighing just 91 grams, BlackBerry Pearl 8120 offers a 240 x 260 pixels display with support for 65k colors, a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2 Megapixel camera with flash and video recording. The camera included in the 8100 model is a 1.3 Megapixel one, so users will surely be happy about this upgrade.

The new BlackBerry only comes with quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), hence no 3G unfortunately. But there's Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, which should compensate in a way the lack of 3G. Other features of the Pearl 8120 include GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0, USB, 3.5mm headphone jack, Media player, document viewer with support for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, upgraded HTML browser, email and Instant Messaging capabilities, embedded games, plus other basic applications like calculator, organizer and To Do list.

Furthermore, BlackbBerry Pearl 8120 comes with RIM's well known trackball navigation system and the SureType keyboard software. The smartphone also provides 64MB of flash memory and microSD card support, and its battery is a 900 mAh one that should be enough to offer a talk-time of up to 4 hours and a stand-by time of about 360 hours.
