Today, mobile phone carrier AT&T announced the introduction of a series of new postpaid billing options for tablet PCs on its network.

According to the company, users can immediately take advantage of both the existing prepaid billing options it has in store for them, as well as from the new postpaid plans.

The wireless carrier also confirmed that customers can add the new plans to their existing monthly wireless statements, so that they would be able to enjoy the simplicity of a single monthly bill.

The wireless services provider announced the introduction of the following options for its customers:

- Postpaid: $14.99 for 250 MB or $25 for 2 GB. Customers on the 2 GB plan who exceed their monthly data allotment will be charged $10 per 1 GB of overage. Charges will appear on customers’ monthly wireless statements.

- Prepaid: $14.99 for 250 MB or $25 for 2 GB. Customers on the 2 GB plan who exceed their monthly data allotment may choose to purchase an additional 2 GB for $25. Charges will appear on customers’ credit card statements.

Both of the newly announced options are month-to-month and do not require the signing of a long-term agreement.

Moreover, the company unveiled that, for a limited period of time, all users who will activate a new postpaid $25/2 GB plan will be able to enjoy the first month free.

At the same time, the wireless carrier said that the new postpaid billing options will be made available for customers via AT&T retail locations around the United States, as well as online on the company's website.

Best Buy, Fry’s, select Nexcom locations, and Walmart stores nationwide will also feature the new monthly options from AT&T, the company announced.

“Tablets offer the convenience of mobile broadband virtually anywhere and our new billing options give customers the flexibility to choose how they prefer to be billed,” said David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Mobility & Consumer Markets.
