A new option for television and communications services

Wireless services provider AT&T recently announced that it planned on bringing AT&T U-verse services to Chattanooga. According to the company, the launch of its services in the area, including AT&T U-verse TV, AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet and AT&T U-verse Voice, should offer residents in the area a new choice when it comes to television and communications services. At the same time, AT&T notes that the launch is expected to take place sometime during summer.

The AT&T U-verse services are being offered to users via AT&T’s advanced Internet Protocol (IP) network. The wireless carrier notes that they are meant to offer users a choice over cable, while delivering a better DVR, better features and apps, and a better TV experience. Moreover, the company stresses on the fact that AT&T U-verse is putting together TV, broadband, home phone and AT&T wireless services on a single bill, enhancing the level of integration, convenience and control one can enjoy.

“We’re excited to launch U-verse TV in Chattanooga later this summer,” said Gregg Morton, president of AT&T Tennessee. “We know Chattanooga residents are eager to have the most advanced technology that will deliver a better TV experience, and we’re ready to showcase the innovative features and value the U-verse experience offers.”

AT&T U-verse TV is a 100 percent Internet Protocol-based television (IPTV) service delivered by a national service provider, making it a dynamic and application-rich offering available for US users today. AT&T U-verse enables customers to choose from various combinations of TV, Internet and Voice packages; a High Definition (HD) channel package with 120 channels; innovative TV features and applications, including the possibility to watch four channels at the same time via U-verse TV Multiview, or Total Home DVR, with the option to manage recordings from a single DVR on all connected TV in the home.
