Yesterday, we reported on the very first ASUS N10 netbook that would not be part of the company’s already vast Eee PC lineup. The Taiwanese manufacturer decided to unveil the product only in Korea for the time being, leaving all the other possible customers from Europe and the US waiting for a while longer before having the chance to get their hands on the much-hyped netbook. However, it appears that the company is slowly introducing the N10 on the markets it was left out until now as well, so you too might see it one of these days in stores in your country.

Seeing how ASUS is set to unveil its first Atom-powered, non-Eee netbook in India next, the “a little patience goes a long way” saying might as well have been used as motto for a marketing campaign. At the moment, no specific date for when this will happen has been made public, but sources from the industry are saying that the N10 should make its debut there very soon. Although this comes close to shooting arrows in the dark, one could easily speculate that this may also mean that, before the end of September, the company will officially unveil the product on a worldwide scale.

In addition to all the above, we now have the full specifications list of the N10, since it has been listed on the page of an Australian online retailer. So, aside from the N720 Atom processor and the NVIDIA GeForce G9300M GS graphics chip with 256MB of video memory, the netbook will also boast 2GB of DDR2 667MHz memory, 320GB of storage space on a 5400RPM SATA HDD, wireless LAN with support for 802.11 b/g/n (while all the other netbooks only support 802.11 b/g), HDMI port, 1.3 MP webcam and a fingerprint scanner.

As we already mentioned before, the N10 will be offered with built-in Altec Lansing speakers, and will come with either a 3-cell or a 6-cell battery. Measuring 276 x 195 x 29.9-37.1 mm (max), the netbook weighs no more than 1.4kg, when equipped with a 3-cell battery.

According to the Australian etailer, the 10-incher is available for a price tag of $1,363.96 – for which you will get a Windows Vista-enabled netbook, running on Intel's Atom and NVIDIA's GeForce graphics. Given the specifications and the price tag, it's somehow hard to believe that the N10 was ever meant to compete with the other netbooks on the market. Nevertheless, it could just as well be the very first high-end netbook to be released.
