It appears that ASUS is working quite arduously on making sure that all of its intended business units are successful, the latest of them to have made the news being that of tablet-like devices.

E-readers have already been quite well promoted and quite a few of them have been selling around the world for months.

ASUS, of course, has its own such devices, but it also has a certain less than ordinary electronic going by the name of Eee note EA800.

It has been months since it was first introduced, and it was even caught on video at a certain point back in December.

Basically, it is an e-book reader of sorts, only it is designed with support for very accurate pen input, to the point where it can be used to even draw things.

Its 8-inch grayscale display has a 2,540dpi accuracy and a native resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels. This means that the whole thing measures 139 x 222.4 x 11 mm.

It has only 4 GB of built-in flash storage, but it is understandable for this type of electronic to not go out of its way to pack too large a cost-adding capacity.

Either way, a microSD card slot makes it quite easy to add significant extra storage space in the shape of a memory card.

For those interested, ePub and PDF files, among other things, are supported, and a Longman dictionary is pre-loaded onto the device.

Finally, the Eee Note EA800 features a 1W speaker, an USB port, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and a 3,700 mAh battery which can keep the whole thing running for up to 13.5 hours, or 10 days in standby.

It has now been discovered that this very product has made its way to Europe, Italian shops to be more accurate, where it boasts a price tag of 259 Euro.
