After having updated its P-series business-class line of portable computer systems, Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS has announced today the introduction of yet another series of laptops, simply dubbed ASUS K Series Domino Collection. According to the company, the new K-series models have been designed for multimedia enthusiasts, who will be provided with a high-definition LCD screen and Altec Lansing speakers. In addition, thanks to the implementation of ASUS' Super Hybrid Engine and IceCool design, users will be able to enjoy a longer and overall cooler computing experience.

With the announcement of the new K-series, ASUS has launched a series of new laptops, each one designed to provide the end-user with a different configuration option. Ranging from 14-inch to large 17.3-inch displays and using computing solutions from leading chip makers Intel, AMD and NVIDIA, the new K series of portable PCs might just provide you with that system configuration that you have been so anxiously looking for.

As part of the lineup, the K40IN and the K50IN are designed to boast Intel's Core 2 Duo processors and the graphics solutions provided by the Santa Clara, California-based NVIDIA. These two models are built using the newly-released GeForce G102M, featuring 512MB of dedicated graphics memory and support for 1080p high-definition video playback. In addition to these two, ASUS has also designed the K40AB, K50AB and K70AB laptops, which are equipped with the ATI Mobility HD4570, while the company's K70AB and K51AB boast the ATI Mobility Radeon HD4860.

According to ASUS, these new K-series laptops can provide users with an extended battery life, while also offering them hours of entertainment. Another great feature of the latest models is the use of the ASUS IceCool design, which enables the system's palm rest to stay cooler even after prolonged use.

The company hasn't detailed the pricing and availability of its latest K-series laptops, but for a better understanding of what these new systems can provide, be sure to check out ASUS' webpage.
