In the upcoming year, AMD will continue to release new processors based on its successful Fusion concept, which will cover both the entry-level and high-end mobile market space, according to a leaked company document.

For the mainstream and performance sectors, AMD will unveil the Comal platform, which is comprised out of the same A70M and A60M Fusion controller hubs as those used by the Sabine platform and of three new APUs.

These go by the code name of Trinity, Weatherford and Richland and are based on the Piledriver x86 processing cores (derived from the Bulldozer architecture) which are paired together with a more powerful integrated GPU.

The new APUs will also support the Hybrid CorssFireX mode and AMD allows its partners to pair the on-die graphics core with its upcoming HD 7000-series discrete GPUs from the London product family.

The Essential and under 12W market will be served by the new Deccal platform, which is built around the Krishna and Wichita APUs, which are accompanied by the yet-unreleased Yuba Mx FCH.

This chipset hasn't been detailed yet, but it should feature a low power consumption and comes as the successor of the A50M FCH used by today's Brazos platforms.

Just as Comal, Deccan will also support Hybrid CrossFireX and can be paired with London-series mobile discrete graphics.

Right now, we don't know when these APUs are expected to be launched, but considering the problems AMD has with the Bulldozer architecture, some time may pass until the Comal platform arrives to market.

On June 14 2011, AMD will launch its highly-anticipated Llano processors that target the high-end and mainstream notebook market.

AMD's Llano APUs use the company's K10.5+/Husky x86 processor architecture and pair it together with a DirectX 11 compatible on-die GPU.

This can feature up to six SIMD engines with 80 stream processors each and the GPU is also accompanied by an integrated dual-channel DDR3 memory controller, a PCI Express controller, up to 4MB of cache and select CPUs even pack AMD's Turbo Core 2.0 dynamic acceleration technology.
