With just a few days left until Llano makes its official appearance, what seems to be an official AMD presentation, that details the company's Fusion strategy, has just been leaked online and it comes to reveal a series of interesting details about these platforms.

For starter, we get to see that outside the C, E and the upcoming A-series APUs, the company is also preparing to launch a special tablet version of its chips that will be known as the Z-series.

The presentation is scarce in details when it comes to the specs of Z-series processors, but it seems like AMD is determined to make its entrance into the lucrative mobile space.

In addition, the slides also come to reveal the device price ranges that AMD targets with its A-series Llano APUs, and top of the line A8-series systems should start at $699, while A6 and A4-series machines go from $599, and respectively $499, onwards.

AMD's new Llano platforms will include a series of new technologies, including a so-called Wireless Display feature which resembles Intel's WiDi functionality found inside Sandy Bridge platforms.

The upcoming A-series APUs use the company's K10.5+/Husky x86 processor architecture and pair it together with a DirectX 11 compatible on-die GPU.

This can feature up to six SIMD engines with 80 stream processors each and the GPU is also accompanied by an integrated dual-channel DDR3 memory controller, a PCI Express controller, up to 4MB of cache and select CPUs even pack AMD's Turbo Core 2.0 dynamic acceleration technology.

AMD will first introduce the mobile Sabine platform, which will be followed by Lynx (desktop Llano) in mid-June.

The slides that make up the presentation were shown to journalists and industry insiders between May 17 and May 19 and are under embargo until June 14 at 12:01 AM Eastern time. (via NGOHQ)
