This week was dedicated to getting through the entirety of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves in order to post a review for this PlayStation 3 exclusive that is sure to attract quite a lot of gamers to the Sony platform. But there has been other stuff you should know about, like this Weekend Reading piece about the body count in the game and this piece on what games the Softpedia editors are set to enjoy during the weekend.

On Monday, we found out that Queen was set to deliver tracks to Rock Band 2 and that there could even be a Beatles-like experience being readied for the band that featured the late Freddie Mercury. Also, the Xbox Live scene is a bit poorer, now that those who played Forza 3 and Borderlands before their official releases got a permaban.

On Tuesday, another Xbox 360-related piece of news arrived, saying that storage devices that had not been authorized by Microsoft would be unusable with the upcoming firmware update for the console. The delayed NPD Group numbers came out, showing the PlayStation 3 and Halo 3: ODST as the big winners of September.

On Wednesday, we found out that an Indian gamer allegedly played Grand Theft Auto IV for no less than 40 hours and 20 minutes, while Infinity Ward offered more explanations about the new IWNet for Modern Warfare 2, as fans continued to protest against the fact that dedicated servers would not be included in the shooter.

On Thursday, the big announcement was that the Civilization series would be coming to Facebook, with Sid Meier handling the development of the new game, which will rely on social interaction in addition to the traditional mechanics of the series. Also speaking about the future, Peter Molyneux announced that Fable 3 was set to offer support for Project Natal.

Friday was the day when we found out what hardware you needed to play Modern Warfare 2 comfortably, when it would come out on November 10, but also the day when Metro 2033, a new hybrid between a shooter and a role-playing experience, was picked up by THQ for publishing.
