If you plan to read about videogames this Sunday, then this is the place for you. Apart from the Weekend Reading feature that focuses on the cross between Batman, collectibles and obsessive behavior, there are some pieces that deserve your attention.

On Monday, Sony revealed that it was still looking around for a catchy name for its wand and PlayStation Eye motion tracking controller set to arrive next spring. It probably needs to sound cooler than Microsoft's Project Natal. At the same time, we learned that Yakuza 4 was in development, which means that the Japanese essential gangster series lives on.

On Tuesday, we found out that Gran Turismo 5 would be released in North America and in Europe at some point during spring 2010, probably only a few weeks after the release on the Japanese market. On the same day, a potential sequel to the classic Counter Strike emerged under the name of Tactical Intervention.

On Wednesday, Nintendo released the 4.2 update for the Wii supposed to improve importance and likely aiming to limit the possibility of running homebrew applications. At the other side of the console spectrum, Microsoft began releasing Fable II episodes on Xbox Live. To get gamers hooked, the first one is free to play.

Thursday brought news about Assassin's Creed 2, with the lead designer revealing that Enzio, the main character, was a bit of a womanizer, while NCsoft announced that they were offering a Double XP weekend for City of Heroes as part of an effort to attract back some of the gamers who left the MMO.

Friday was all about Subject Zero, the new character from Mass Effect 2, which is being showcased by BioWare. Meanwhile, IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey was confirmed as arriving on the PlayStation Portable.
