Quite an interesting story

The Nintendo Wii has become quite a phenomenon in terms of popularity and sales across the world. The fact that it appeals to every kind of person, whether we are talking about a hardcore or a casual gamer, and that a lot of games are available for different tastes, made it a must have for a lot of people.

But it seems that such a level of popularity isn't without its bad sides, as a couple in New Hampshire fought over a game for the Nintendo Wii this Christmas. The two, now former lovers, engaged in a bitter argument because him, Heath Blom, received a Wii game for Christmas from his grandmother.

Enraged by the fact that he didn't receive the remote-controlled airplane worth 1,000 dollars, it seems that Blom began to argue with his grandmother and call her names for not buying him what he wanted. “When he didn’t get the plane, he got really upset. He acted like a 10-year-old kid,” said his now former girlfriend Randi Young, about his reaction to the Wii game. Annoyed by his unorthodox actions, Young tried to calm Blom down but it seems that they then got into a very animated argument over this game.

After a short amount of time, Young began to pack her bags in order to leave the household, and then Blom got really angry and started to physically abuse her. “He dragged me down two flights of stairs, by the hair,” said Young about her former boyfriend's reactions. But Blom replied that “I stood in the doorway trying to block her. She punched me in the eye. She punched me three times. I said ‘That’s it.’ And I pulled her hair.”

Even though this incident might strike as amusing, it didn't seem so for the police, who reported that the two former lovers had some pretty serious bruises on their faces and bodies but, because the case was still being worked on, the guilty party wasn't established yet.

It's really bad to hear that people can't forget about their worries and problems even on Christmas, as it should be a time when you are near your loved ones and spend quality time with them. Presents are nice to receive, but it's the thought that matters.
