The proverb which says that ?not all who are nice to you want what's in your best interest" suits best a tragic situation in China.

According to Reuters, a blood donor carrying the HIV virus has infected 23 persons in the north-eastern province of Jilin before he could be diagnosed.

One of the victims died on November 10, 40 days after having been diagnosed with AIDS. His relatives realized that the infection took place during a blood transfusion and alerted the local authorities who located Song (the infected blood donor).

Aside from the victim mentioned above, Song's blood also infected 19 persons, two of them also dying because of the contamination.

In addition, the Chinese infected two of his sexual partners and one's spouse.

According to Xinhua, Song donated blood 15 times between January 2003 and June 2004, and the ones to blame are the blood bank workers.

A similar case took place in the US when a former D.C. government worker convinced women and teenage girls into having sexual intercourse with him, avoiding to tell them about the disease.
