The telescope can effectively avoid the contortion of image

The first phones with a built-in camera out there were really great at the time, just for the simple fact that you could take a snapshot of something by using your mobile phone. Now things have changed and a 5 megapixel camera on a mobile phone doesn't really come as a surprise, especially when talking about Asian phones.

But what a mobile phone could never really do was zoom, and taking a snapshot of something that's a little far from where you stand is generally a waste of time.

Even if you do manage to take it, the photo will most likely look bad. That's the most significant difference between today's mobile phones and digital cameras, the lack of optical zoom. So that's why Brando Workshop has presented a Mobile Phone Telescope with 6x zoom that should work great for shooting distant objects and landscapes.

In order to use the telescope you will need to snap on the back shell - in the case of Nokia phones - or the durable strap that holds the lens in place for Sony Ericsson phones, after which you can attach or remove the lens whenever needed.

The Zoom Telescope works both on Nokia and on Sony Ericsson mobile phones and will allow you to zoom up to 6 times. Several mobile phones are compatible, Sony Ericsson's K750i, W800i, W810i, W550i and W600i as well as Nokia's N70, N72, 6230, 6230i, 6680, 6600, 6630, 7610 and 6681. So, if you think that it would be a good accessory for your mobile phone, The Zoom Telescope can be purchased for $19.
