Many of you will just settle with the playing NHL 2K8, but just in case you're interested in it more than the average gamer is, 2K Sports (the publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software) has just rolled out the game's soundtrack, featuring "an eclectic group of artists chosen to reflect the spirit of the sport and the enthusiasm of its fans," as the report reads.

As the list of songs below reveals, the selection ranges from indie stalwarts such as Bloc Party and Tokyo Police Club to the alternative-rock legends such as Korn and the classic metal of Quiet Riot.

"For the NHL 2K8 soundtrack, we wanted music that resonates with today?s hockey gamer whose tastes draw from both the mainstream and underground scenes," said Tim Rosa, Director of Brand and Lifestyle Marketing for 2K Sports. "The high quality and energy level of the music delivers the full experience our fans have come to expect from a 2K Sports game."
