Back to the Future Day was on October 21, and Jimmy Kimmel treated his fans to the best surprise ever: he allowed Marty McFly and Doc Brown crash his opening speech on that day’s show. You can see the hilarious and film reference-heavy moment in the first video available below.

In the second “Back to the Future” film, part of the trilogy that is a cult classic that turned 30 this year, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Martin (Christopher Lloyd) set the date on their time-travelling DeLorean to October 21, 2015.

They need to travel into the future so they can fix mistakes and save Marty’s children, and this proves a wonderful occasion for the film to imagine the world of the future. Well, the future became present a couple of days ago, hence the name of Back to the Future Day.

As Kimmel was giving his usual opening monolog, the DeLorean wheeled on set, and Marty and Doc, looking considerably older, emerged from it. They chatted with Kimmel about a variety of things, wanting to know how the future would turn out.

They ended up quite disappointed in it, so Doc left Marty behind and set out to fix this “alternate future.”

The skit was hilarious and it will certainly prove a must-see for fans of the popular films. Also on the show, Michael showed Kimmel (second video below) how his brand new, one-of-a-kind (for the time being), self-lacing Nike Mags worked.

Check it out.
